its been so so sunny that I've layed out 3 times this week, gotten a burn on my back from having class outside, and have a pretty amazing looking sock tan going on!

match vs. claremont!
Today we play Claremont (Pomona Pitzer) at 11am. Biggest rivalry at our school so our coach is definately pumped to win! haha. It is one of our few away matches, I am just about to slip away for a team breakfast in a few minutes.
Last night we had dinner with Jackie's parents. It was Hilary, Lauren Jensen, Katie and I. it was delicious! We at in Riverside at the MIssion Inn and it was so good to sit down to some yummy food :) I had the halibut and we all got desserts to share.
Thursday night I had my first offical Delta function. We had "Champange and Shackles" with the Chi Rho Psi frat and it turned out to be a very fun night! The idea being you get paired with a Chi Rho Psi (by like a piece of fabric) and have to finsh a bottle of champange before you can "un-shackle" Sounds like a lot, but splitting a bottle is not hard! I think we might participated in two rounds ;)
anyways it was a very social thursday night followed by a spanish paper due for my 930 class and a math test at 11am. yes!
I love when I make those great decisions!
AND TONIGHT I GET TO SEEE... MY FAMILYYYY!!!! who are in the sky as we speak coming to stay in palm springs!!! After our match today I'm driving to see them and staying until Tuesday morning (because I have class) and then going down a few more times throughout the week. I"M SO EXCITED!!
On Thrusday, Megan and Linds are coming to Redlands and I'm going to show them arouns, take them to my classes, and get lunch etc.! Linds wants to look at Redlands for applications next year and I'm so excited to give them a tour =)

HAPPY EASTER.... oh and I'm Active!!
Happy Easter to everyone!! :) I think this is the first easter where I'm not waking up to a yummy easter breakfast and going on a scavenger hunt for my bassket :( ALTHOUGH mom and megan said something is in the mail for me so I guess that kinda makes up for it. I am actually haiving time to write an entry because as of yesterday I am offically a new active member of DELTA KAPPA PSI!!! It feels amazing and I am in total shock. Not having to worry about wearing a pin or what I have with me at all times. My big made me a box full of adorable shirts, bag, and blanket and I am so excited to sport it all! I am so proud of all of us ten girls for making it so far!! We went out to a mexican food to celebrate last night and then had an overdue night OUT!!! =)
Pledging also gave me a whole new perspective on how i use my time. There is so much to can fit into a day and it took 5 weeks of having every minute of my life scheduled and written down to actually see that. I am going to be uch more efficent with my time and feel so much more productive!
The family is coming to see me starting next weekend! I am so excited to spend a few days in Palm Springs with them! It will so so nice just to relax and lay in the sun.
I am just about to snuggle back into bed and watch a movie... yeah those things I used to watch when I had a life. hahahah. I haven't even turned on a TV in 3 weeks... as scary as that sounds..
But first some brunch... i know the commons isn't going to be as yummy as the food others are having but I'm so delieriously happy I dont care hahah

presents--
so obviously I havent added anything in 3 weeks. indicative of my life. here is what I saved in a Word Document before "presents" last saturday--
feeling, anxious, so excited! I’m sitting here in study hours and am just looking around at all of my new sisters. I cannot believe the progress we’ve made. At the beginning I didn’t know if we were going to get that close, if we were go back to normal after pledging is over. But last night I realized that that could never happen. Anytime I see these girls on campus I get excited. I feel relief to just run up to them and see them smile. I already know I will trust these girls with everything in me, these next two weeks will just make me more sure that this is where I belong. Last night we were just sitting in a circle telling stories and laughing at all of our inside jokes; insignificant details that make us the quirky group we are. Each one of us adds something to our special circle that is unmistakable and I feel it when one of us is missing. Although pledging is something I will look back on and not want to do over again, (ha) Active’s say this is one of the best days of pledging and I am so excited for it!
I go active tomorrow!! cannot describe the excitment. will be back on schedule as of sunday... EASTER!!!!
