home sweet home

After a fun-filled, first road trip off campus, Jackie and I finally made it back in one piece. It was so great to see Liz and meet all of her friends. We met her roomate, and then the two girls who share a room and then share a bathroom w/ liz and both were very nice too. UCLA was pretty, but so so overwhelming! Lots of people, lots of lines, lots of waiting, and lots of confusion (mostly on my end.) Liz had to go to her spanish class yesterday and left Jackie and I to fend for ourseleves to find lunch. We were successful, only after we got over the fact that the place we ate at was bigger than our commons & plaza (which we only have one of) and this place was one of 8 on campus. Yes, I guess 'big' is the word.
We also met her good friend Christie, who runs with her but is injured. She hilarious and keeps us entertained, to say the least.
We went cite seeing around campus, shopping on Rodeo, I got 2 new dresses! :) ate dinner at the News Room, I was happy to be eating something other than chicken, and then late went to this yummy ice cream place called Diddy Riese (?) where you get to pick two homemade cookies and the ice cream you want and they make you an AMAZING ice cream sandwich. omg, so good.
Oh, but we did run into some bumps. We managed to get 2 parking tickets in one day. One at ucla for $45 for not having a permit and one on Rodeo Drive for $40. yah, neat. How we managed to do that i do not know, but me + liz + jackie = not too tough.
It was in the 80's both days, ride down there was no traffic, ride back... we left at 2ish and just got back 20 minutes ago... so.
Lots of directions to follow, but we couldnt have done it without Navi. Shes a gem.
Other random road trip adventures? ----
-liz broke down in the verizon store bc some retard is charging her $100 per month for her new phone, and for a service she isnt using.
